What we capture
When you start monitoring, your browser samples still frames and short audio clips from the webcams you have explicitly enabled. These samples are sent to our AI provider for analysis.
What we store
- Account data: email, organization name, and team membership.
- Detected events only: when the AI identifies a possible hazard, we store the triggering frame, the matching audio or video clip, the AI's description, and metadata (timestamp, camera, severity).
- We do not store routine, non-event frames or audio. Samples that the AI judges normal are discarded immediately after analysis.
Who can see it
Only members of your organization can see your cameras and events. Media is stored in a private bucket and served via short-lived signed URLs.
AI provider
Frame and audio analysis is performed by a third-party AI model (Google Gemini, accessed through the Lovable AI Gateway). Samples are sent over TLS for the purpose of analysis only.
Retention & deletion
Events and their media remain in your account until you delete them or delete your organization. You can request full deletion at any time.
Your responsibility for consent
Many jurisdictions require you to notify people that video or audio recording is taking place, and some require consent. You are responsible for posting any signage and obtaining any consents required where your cameras are pointed. Do not point Sentry at places where people have a reasonable expectation of privacy.
Contact
